How to Get Sephiroth Early in Smash Ultimate

Starting today, you can get Sephiroth as a playable fighter in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate prior to his release if you buy either Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter’s Pass Volume 2 or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger Pack 8. The Fighter’s Pass 2 is $29.99 (not including tax) and Challenger Pack 8 is $5.99 (not including tax). Once you’ve purchased one of these packs and reset the game after the update downloads, the Sephiroth Challenge will appear in the top left of your menu select screen.

Clicking the banner in the top left will bring you to a Sephiroth Challenge screen. Press any button to move to the difficulty select screen. You can clear any difficulty to complete the challenge, or you can beat all three levels if you feel up to the challenge. Once you clear, Sephiroth, his level, his theme and other new FF7 songs will automatically unlock in your game. Below is a video of our Very Hard clear of the event:
